The nose of this is peat, charcoal, Smells a bit like Caol Ila. On the palate it’s dry with a sweetness and a decent amount of peat. Tastes a bit like a campfire. The finish is salty with a heavy burn, this is where the bottle has a serious downside, there is some damp ashtray going on here. I like the palate enough to drink it even when I know the pain of the finish will follow. Overall it’s a decent expression if the price is considered. Can be bought at Trader Joe’s.
