The nose is fantastic, big rye spice, makes you salivate a bit. The palate has some sweet spice, maple, and apple pie. It does start to get a little bitter in the finish and is a bit dry and bland in the end. The name stems from the year that Kentucky became the 15th state. Overall this is a very solid bourbon to have in your home collection, Esp. at this price.
