This expression by Kilchoman was aged in sherry casks and is the oldest expression to date from the young distillery. The nose is nice and is filled with sweet peatiness. The palate is much of the same though I like the sweet taste better in their buffalo trace soaked expression. The finish is light with much less peat than I had hoped for. This is good stuff but not as good as previous expressions by Kilchoman I have tasted. My point is, if you are having trouble locating a bottle, try the bourbon cask instead for around $100. The Loch Gorm should be available in a few stores by mid summer 2013 in America. However, it is a limited run.
